Anime Detroit was a long standing Anime Club in Detroit. They continue on as we change our name to GoDaikocon. Godaiko (五大湖) is the japanese term for the Great Lakes. Detroit is still our home and we love our home perhaps even more. We've become involved the community and want to live up to the expectations of our fellow Detroiters. However, there was a change in attitude and managment and the old name of Anime Detroit no longer fit our new style. What we lost was a name; what we kept were the hard-working values of Detroit and (hopefully) an Anime Festival that lives up to the expectations of its fans.
